Kia C. Boone
Kia C. Boone is the Founder, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of COVERED. by KLS, an independent digital publication covering fashion, music, entertainment, icons, and culture. She is also the Founder, Editorial Photographer, and Creative Director of KLS Image Photography, a separately operated photography brand based in the DMV and the primary photography provider for COVERED. by KLS.
Kia holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Morgan State University, with a minor in Photography, and an MA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Her background in design, photography, and visual storytelling shapes the editorial direction and visual identity of COVERED. by KLS.
Through KLS Image Photography, Kia has photographed major concerts from arena photo pits, covered the ESSENCE Festival of Culture with credentialed media access, documented fashion weeks, and photographed cultural and entertainment events throughout the DMV and nationally.
Through COVERED. by KLS, she has built an independent media platform dedicated to original editorial coverage of the people, moments, and stories shaping fashion, music, entertainment, and culture. The publication combines original reporting and editorial storytelling with photography, with KLS Image Photography providing the majority of its original visual coverage.
